Edward Rogers is a singer-songwriter, the East Village’s man about town and has a weekly radio show, Atlantic Tunnel, on East Village Radio. He has released two solo albums, working with George Usher; his new CD, “Sparkle Lane,” comes out on February 2, 2010. In fact, Pete, Don and Joe, the other comrades on this gig, all appear on “Sparkle Lane.” Guitarist/composer/producer Pete Kennedy has worked with anybody and everybody, from Dr. John to the National Symphony, but is best known for his role as half of The Kennedys, a pop duo who gracefully surf across a wide range of styles, especially of the jangly guitar/harmony variety. Pete is putting the finishing touches on an all-original solo project entitled “Union Square.” Joe McGinty is a keyboardists/producer/songwriter who has worked with The Psychedelic Furs, The Ramones, Ryan Adams and Nada Surf. He is also the founder and music director for the Loser’s Lounge tribute series. His original projects have included the orchestral pop outfit *Baby Steps*, the electronic pop quartet *Circuit Parade*, and the classic pop duo *McGinty and White*. Don Piper is a guitarist, producer/engineer, songwriter and singer. As leader of ‘a don piper situation’, he has recorded two albums, the brilliant pop-rock “saturate” and the muted and beautiful but unmistakably pop “inside a change.” Piper has produced and/or recorded many artists in his Brooklyn studio, ‘between the trains’ including Syd Straw, Peter Salett, Maplewood and Edward Rogers, among many more.
