Hed Kandi’s Fashion Night Out in NYC 2009
Fashion Week is an excellent opportunity for American (and a few international) designers — ranging from Oscar de la Renta to Zac Posen — to show off their upcoming collections. The fashion shows are often entertaining, accompanied by loud, mood-setting music and changing lighting. The press writes about and photographs the runway collections for newspapers, magazines, internet and television so the general public can see what is going on in fashion. But as soon as the glitz and glam of the runway go down its time to dance your ass off, and that is exactly what happened at Club Kiss & Fly when Hed Kandi America put together the hottest after party for New York’s Fashionista community. Besides the sea of beautiful people, DJs Airloom and KC Anderson threw out a monster set packed with high octane climaxes and unbelievably smooth transitions between tracks. People on the floor were treated to bursts of pressurized smoke screens illuminated by colorful light design and visual panels behind the DJ booth. The barrage of audio and visual stimulation left me with one thought: The Beautiful People sure know how to party! Just look at the gallery below and see for yourself.
